Isaiah's House
Local partnerships that serve our city
When children are removed from their homes for their safety, they are often taken to a child welfare services office to wait for placement. This waiting period can last anywhere from a few hours to several days. During that time, many children arrive with nothing—no clean clothes, no toys, and very little comfort. They are often scared, lonely, hungry, and unsure of what will happen next.
Isaiah 117 provides a welcoming home where these children can wait in a safe and caring environment. Instead of sitting in an office, they are surrounded by friendly volunteers who offer clean clothes, warm smiles, toys, and snuggly blankets. This space gives children the comfort and care they need during a difficult moment while child welfare staff complete the necessary paperwork and work to find a safe and loving placement.
