Worship services at Fellowship are designed to reach the diverse blend of ages, experiences and spiritual maturity of those attending. Our Praise Team strives to provide a worship experience that blends contemporary music with classic hymns presented in a traditional manner. Each person is viewed as an active participant with the responsibility to render worship through prayer, praise, song, testimony and appropriate heart responses to the Lord.
Special services of worship and celebration are held at various times during the year. Cantatas and choir programs help Fellowship's people to celebrate the Scriptural reasons for holidays such as Christmas and the Resurrection.
The Worship Team here at Fellowship Bible Church hear many comments and suggestions. Two of the most common are “Why don’t we sing more hymns?” and “Why do we have to sing hymns?”
The answer to the first question is because many find them difficult to understand, which does not facilitate worship. The answer to the second question is because they are beautiful and timeless songs of the faith that bring grandeur and majesty into the worship service, particularly for those who grew up hearing and singing them.
Hymns 101 is an attempt to bridge that generational gap in a way that can reach everyone in the sanctuary. If you have more questions about a song – or more of those comments and suggestions, please note them on your Connection Card or speak to a member of the Praise Team after the service.
