Mike Waldrop,  Senior Pastor

 

Mike is a graduate of Trinity University (BA in Education). He is an alumnus of Dallas Theological Seminary majoring in Christian Education/Adult Education.

 

Mike began ministry here by overseeing our adult discipleship and education ministries including children's ministries, small groups, men's and women's ministries, retreats and camps, Sunday morning ABFs, and our facilities.

 

He has been on staff since June 1993 and became Sr. Pastor in April, 2017. He and his wife Cindy, live in Alvin, and have three adult children.

Sam Payne, Director of Student Ministries

Sam became the Director of Student Ministries in July of 2016. He is a graduate of LeTourneau University (BS in Civil Engineering). After graduating, Sam was a roughneck on various oil rigs in South Texas and Oklahoma. Sam is currently a student at the Dallas Theological Seminary Extension in Houston.

 

Sam lives in Pearland and loves hitting the gym and hanging out with his buddies. He has a desire to see students embrace and live out their faith as they genuinely grow closer in their relationship with the Lord.

 

Lyndsey Dockins, Director of Children's Ministries

Lyndsey became the Director of Children’s Ministries in June 2015 after being the interim director. She is a graduate of Texas Woman’s University with a BS in Communication Science and Disorders and of Lamar University with a MA in Deaf Education.  She taught for 5 years prior to becoming a stay-at-home mom.

 

Lyndsey married Michael, her husband in 2003 and they live in Friendswood.  They have 3 young children that keep their life full of fun.  She loves to spend time with her family.

 

Lyndsey has a passion for seeing children trust God as their savior.  She also loves to minister and serve the parents of these children.  She knows being a parent is one of the most difficult jobs in the world and loves to support them in her ministry.

Brett Posey, Director of Support Ministries

Brett started his role as the Facilities Manager in July of 2012 and expanded his ministry role to include a variety of other administrative and business functions in January 2017. Brett supervises our facility and maintenance as an act of worship, and keeps our plant running and looking nice.

 

Brett is married to Marsha, his high school sweetheart and they have two children, Addison and Cooper.
