New Tuesday Morning Studies 12 Extraordinary Women: How God Shaped Women of the Bible and What He Wants to Do with You, by John MacArthur. Led by Becci Martin and co-leader Lynn Tapp Join us as we study the extraordinary lives of twelve women in the Bible. The lives of these women became extraordinary through their faithfulness and availability to God. Their struggles and temptations were the same as we encounter today. We will see how they overcame life's struggles and we will be challenged and motivated to become faithful servants of God. Christ in the Psalms, by Stonecroft Ministries – FALL Becoming a Woman of Purpose, by Cynthia Heald – SPRING Led by Hope Cramp Christ in the Psalms - Psalms has many prophetic statements concerning Jesus Christ; some are entirely about Him – His coming, His work, His Lordship, and his reign as King of kings. To acquire the characteristics of a godly person as described in Psalm 1, we will look to the scriptures of Psalm 119 and 2 Timothy. Becoming a Woman of Purpose - In becoming a woman of purpose you will seek to reflect God's glory as He conforms you to Christ, to love His people as He establishes His kingdom on earth, and to love Him as you wait on Him in hope. You will seek to trust Him in suffering and to serve Him with reverent fear. Israel’s Mission: A Kingdom of Priests in a Prodigal World, by Ray Vander Laan – FALL Gospel in Life, by Timothy Keller – SPRING Led by Jennifer Key Israel’s Mission - God gave Israel, his disciples, and us the mission of being a kingdom of priests for the nations that will make Him known so that all people can experience him. God spoke and acted in the context of the cultures in which his people lived. We most clearly and more deeply understand God’s truth when we know the cultural context with which He spoke and acted, and the perspective of the people with whom he communicated. Gospel in Life – This study is about how we live out the gospel in all of life, first in our hearts, then in community, and then out into the world. The study explains what it means to be a Christian in our world today and begins by focusing on our relationship to God through Christ and why it matters to the world. This study brings clarity and passion to believers as we live out our new life in Christ in this world. The Apprentice Series, by James Bryan Smith Led by Sandi Kincannon The author believes the gospel is about change in our lives today, not just our eternal destiny. In this series of three studies (The Good and Beautiful God, The Good and Beautiful Life, and the Good and Beautiful Community), he aims to help Christians develop a robust discipleship by helping them understand who God is, what it means to be a Christian, and what it means to live in community as a part of God’s kingdom. Smith helps us discard the flawed narratives of our hearts and replace them with the truths God reveals in His Word about Himself, the Christian life, and His Church. Uninvited: Living Loved - Satan wants us to feel rejected. When we listen to his lies, he derails our purpose, courage and dreams. Learn to release the desire to fall apart or control the actions of others by embracing God-honoring ways to process your hurt. Learn what to do and how to pray to steady your soul and restore your confidence. Overcome core fears that feed our insecurities. Stop feeling left out. Understand that “set apart” does not mean “set aside”. End the cycle of perceived rejections. This is a 10 week video study with group discussion.
