Richard Price, Chairman

Richard Price is a resident of Friendswood, Texas.

He has been married to his wife, Anne, for 33 years. Anne and Richard have five children (Mary Beth, Becky, Jonathan, Julia and Sarah) and three grandchildren.

Richard has been at Fellowship for 20 years and served as an Elder for 13. He has a B.A. in Chemistry from the University of Mississippi, and a Th.M. in Historical Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary.

Richard is employed by International Family Services and when he is not working enjoys hiking, photography and beekeeping. Richard also serves as an Adult Bible Fellowship teacher for the Sojourners on Sunday mornings.

Mark Tapp

Mark Tapp is a resident of Pearland and a high school science teacher in Friendswood.

Mark and his wife, Lynn, have three sons (Eric, Joshua, and Joey) and one grandson, Connor. Mark has a B.S. from the University of Houston and an M.S. from the University of Texas School of Public Health.

Mark and his family have been part of Fellowship for 22 years and he has served as an Elder for at least half of that time. Mark has sung in the choir, and worked in various administrative roles at Fellowship.

Don Surles

Don lives in Friendswood, Texas and is a widower with 2 adult daughters and 2 granddaughters. He has been at Fellowship for 8 years and served as an Elder for 3.

Don has served as a full-time minister, has worked in Labor Relations, and is owner of Diversified Shelters, a manufacturer of fiberglass analyzer buildings for chemical plants.

Don enjoys reading, playing cards, antique cars and entertaining. He has recently made missions trips to Croatia and regularly holds Sunday afternoon worship services at a nearby assisted living facility. Don is also the teacher for our J.O.Y. (Just Older Youth) ABF.

Joe Kolb, Assistant Chairman

Joe and his wife, JoBeth have been involved at Fellowship for the past 19 years and Joe has served as an Elder for 13.

They live in Friendswood, Texas and are parents to three adult children and grandparents to seven grandchildren.

Joe has a B.S. and an M.S. in Biology from Texas State University and works in environmental management and water pollution control. He loves the outdoors and spends time hunting, birdwatching, and playing with his grandchildren.

Joe also serves at Fellowship as a teacher in the CrossTrainers ABF and in worship.

Bill Himmel

Bill not only serves as Senior Pastor, but also on the Elder Board. He lives in Pearland with his wife, Sue, and has four adult children, one grandchild and one on the way.

Bill has been at Fellowship for 25 years and been an elder for 21. He enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, wood-working and restoring old cars.

David Moss

David and his wife, Debbie, and their two sons, Grant and Clay, have been at Fellowship for the last 17 years and reside in Pearland. David has served as an Elder for 6 years and also serves as the impetus driving mission trips to Croatia as well as teaching the In His Image ABF.

David has a B.S. in Education from Huntington University and a Masters in Sports Administration from Bowling Green State University. He owns Texas Baseball Academy and works as Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Academics at Houston Baptist University.

David enjoys reading, wood-working and sports and is committed to outreach and missions.

Eric Doud
Dave Popham
Dave Popham and his wife, Lee, live in Friendswood, Texas and have been married for 29 years. They have 3 children, Katie, David Jr. and Jessica.

 He is employed by Computer Sciences Corporation at NASA, the Johnson Space Center, as Operations Manager. Dave enjoys football, bass fishing, reading, playing guitar and traveling with his wife.

Dave and Lee have attended FBC for 23 years and Dave has served as Elder for 11years. He has also served in the Youth, Worship and Prayer ministries. Dave currently serves at FBC as teacher of the FaithWalkers ABF.
